How to tie in your chat client to CommandBar experiences
Adding chat support is very similar and only changes depending on which experience you'd like to add chat to:
HelpHub
- Visit Dashboard -> HelpHub -> Settings
- Under Action, click the dropdown on the left
- Select Open Chat
- In the dropdown on the right, select your chat provider
Copilot
- Visit Dashboard -> Copilot -> Settings
- Open the Chat section
- Under CTA, click the dropdown on the left
- Select Open Chat
- In the dropdown on the right, select your chat provider
Nudge (Product tours, Announcements, Surveys, and Checklists)
- Visit Announcements
- Add or locate a new nudge
- Click the + button and choose Button
- Click Add action
- Under Action, click the dropdown on the left
- Select Open Chat
- In the dropdown on the right, select your chat provider
Spotlight
- Visit Dashboard -> Actions
- Create a new action or open an existing one
- Beside Type, click the dropdown and choose Trigger
- Under Action, click the dropdown on the left
- Select Open Chat
- In the dropdown on the right, select your chat provider
Common questions
- I chose a chat client, why don't I see it opening?
- CommandBar doesn't come bundled with chat clients, so make sure that your chat client is installed on your site.
